DESCRIPTION:The Centre for Online Education & Learning (COEL)\, Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Open University (Dr. BRAOU) is organizing a workshop titled “OER for All: Repurposing and Designing Inclusive Open Educational Resources on March 6th -7th. ” as part of the Open Education (OE) Week Celebrations 2025. This workshop aims to empower in-house faculty members with the knowledge and skills to create\, adapt\, and repurpose Open Educational Resources (OER) that are inclusive\, accessible\, and interactive. Participants will learn best practices in open licensing\, digital accessibility\, and universal design principles to ensure that their educational content reaches a diverse range of learners\, including those with disabilities and linguistic diversity. \nMrs. Sushumna Rao Tadinada – OER advocate from India will act as a Workshop Facilitator. The workshop will include hands-on sessions\, discussions\, and practical demonstrations on using tools like H5P to design engaging\, accessible and interactive OER. \nSpecial Recognition: To encourage active participation and innovation\, the Best Presentation (on implementation plan to integrate OER into the course) Award in the workshop will include INR ₹1000 cash prize and an Appreciation Certificate. \nObjectives of the workshop:\n• Build awareness of OER\, open licenses\n• Enable participants to find\, evaluate\, and repurpose OER for their disciplines.\n• Provide hands-on experience in creating accessible and interactive OER using open-source tools.\n• Guide participants in developing an implementation plan to integrate OER into their courses effectively.

DESCRIPTION:At Sask Polytechnic\, we’re learning how to use games in education. Last year\, the Saskatoon library set up a gaming lab (the SPARK Lab — Simulated Play And Real Knowledge) and this year we are using an Open education tool called H5P (integrated into Pressbooks) to make interactive learning modules.  \nThis session will explore using game-based learning and gamification\, and how they can help engage students\, with some success stories. DESCRIPTION:Join LibreTexts Founder and Executive Director\, Delmar Larsen\, as he shows you how to build assignments in LibreTexts open homework and assessment platform\, ADAPT. \nParticipants will learn how to build autograded questions based on four technologies – H5P\, WebWork\, IMathAS\, and native (QTI) – that can be used interchangeably to allow for maximal impact. \nCurrently sponsored by the California Education Learning Lab (CELL)\, ADAPT is free for all California instructors and students. For educators outside of California\, ADAPT is available at cost–with a price point far below what traditional publishers charge.
