The idea of personal pedagogies and how they form and evolve is emerging from an open learning project being facilitated by 'Creative Academic' to explore how teachers create ecologies which enable students to learn, use and develop their creativity. In previous #creativeHE conversations we have focused on the idea of learning ecologies in this conversation we want to focus on the idea of pedagogy and how pedagogical knowledge and theory is personalised and turned into thinking and action (praxis).
Pedagogy is a word that is often mentioned during professional development activities but it's meanings are rarely explored in higher education teaching. The purpose of this #creativeHE conversation is to explore, through participants' own experiences and perceptions what pedagogy means and to explore the idea of personal pedagogy and how that might relate to pedagogies that encourage students' creativity to flourish.
