Introduction to Open Textbooks and Other Open Educational Resources
← Back to list of events
Open textbooks and other open educational resources allow both instructors and learners the ability to use, share, and in most cases, adapt educational materials freely and in a way that will meet their needs. The use of these resources at the U of S has grown considerably over the past two years as instructors see the potential for customized resources and students seek alternatives to expensive commercial textbooks. This session will provide an introduction to these resources and an overview of how they are being used at the U of S.
The session will be delivered face-to-face at the U of S Saskatoon campus and also simultaneously delivered virtually for registered members of the U of S community through WebEx.
