Assessing Your OER Landscape for Impact and Readiness

← Back to list of events
Across the U.S., state legislatures are appropriating funding for research on OER within and across their institutions of higher education. Post-secondary school systems including community college districts are also allocating resources to gather data on OER use, with recognition of the need for such research to inform current or planned OER work. This session will share with participants approaches to conducting state- and system-level OER use and impact research. The session will outline existing OER survey instruments, metrics, and data collection approaches that states and college systems can utilize to assess OER use, impact, and readiness in their contexts. The session will include a discussion of recommendations and insights that have emerged out of existing state-level research, and the implications for policy and practice.
