In India, the National Education Policy 2020 (NEP 2020) emphasizes on imparting education in mother tongue so as to enhance the creativity, critical thinking among the students. In alignment with the NEP 2020 provisions, AICTE's e-KUMBH (Knowledge Unleashed in Multiple Bharatiya Languages) portal provides outcome-based Technical Education Books in 12 Indian Languages to the students and faculty members across all technical institutions in India. The 2nd, 3rd & 4th year books in English as well as 12 Indian Languages are Attribution-Non Commercial-Share Alike 4.0 International (CC BY-NC-SA 4.0) compliant.
With an intent to engage Indian Engineering College Faculty in identifying and converting OER, including e-KUMBH books content into engaging and interactive content and blend the same with the Engineering Education, KBR & HL Human Development Foundation and Hyderabad Institute of Technology & Management (HITAM) are organizing a 3-Day Virtual FDP on "Creating Engaging OER for Engineering Education".

This FDP will immerse the participants in finding and converting outcome-aligned OER video and textbook content into reusable interactive content in order to improve student engagement in blended and online learning.
Participants are expected to complete the FDP activities in compliance with the guidelines provided on or before March 13, 2023 in order to obtain the digital certificate.
Target Audience: Indian Engineering College Faculty (limited to 30 participants only)

FDP Duration: 3 days - 3.5 hour a day (9:30 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. IST)
