The EdTech Center @ World Education hosts monthly Strategy Sessions facilitated on Zoom and open to all! The March Strategy Session will include two 20-minute ⚡ Lightning Talks focused on Open Education Resources + Strategies in celebration of Open Education Week!

1️⃣ Our first Lightning Talk speaker, Neda Anasseri of Outreach & Technical Assistance Network (OTAN), will share about OTAN's partnership with CK12 to build a library of free online textbooks for adult learners. Adult education and literacy programs in the U.S. have limited resources. Quality, free, and open resources are the key to making learning more equitable and accessible for this population.

2️⃣ Second, learn more about the design and development of a crowdsourced open Digital Skills Glossary. This glossary was created by educators in an EdTech Maker Space and will be free and open to all so that ANY learner can develop language around digital skills and be a digital citizen. The EdTech Maker Space is an innovative service learning model developed by World Ed’s CrowdED Learning initiative that has shown incredible promise for curating and generating OER. The open Digital Skills Glossary is just one example of the quality OER that have been developed in an EdTech Maker Space.

Join us to learn more about OER’s impact on equity and innovative ways to leverage this impact!
