SUMMARY:Webinar on Integrating OER in Teacher Education
DESCRIPTION:The National Education Policy 2020 of India emphasizes on offering pre-service and in-service teacher education programmes and Continuing Professional Development (CPD) Programmes (at least 50 hours every year) for teacher educators and principals through blended or ODL modes. UGC ODL and Online Programmes Regulations\, 2020 recommends sourcing 40% of OER for developing online courses / programmes and MOOCs. \nOn the eve of Open Education Week – March 4-8\, 2024\, KBR & HL Human Development Foundation and Khalsa College of Education\, GT Road\, Amritsar are jointly organizing a Webinar on Integrating OER in Teacher Education in order to raise awareness among the Indian Teacher Education Institutions (TEIs) and Teacher Educators on designing OER-enabled online teacher education and/or CPD Programmes. \nTarget audience: Indian Teacher Educators \nLearning outcomes\nThis webinar will enable the participants to: \n\ngain an understanding of Creative Commons Licenses and Open Educational Resources\ndifferentiate between Copyright and Creative Commons License\nfind outcomes-aligned OER for teacher education (demo)\ndesign OER-enabled blended / online programmes (demo)
