SUMMARY:OE Week at the UBC Emerging Media Lab
DESCRIPTION:Want to learn more about EML open educational technology projects? This is the opportunity! \nDrop-in on March 5th between 11am and 1pm in room 183 of the Irving K. Barber Learning Centre to visit us as we celebrate Open Education in our Demo Space!  We are excited to welcome you and share more about how we work as well as demonstrating some of our recent projects.  Snacks and giveaways included!  \nEML produces each project with an eye to open practices. Creating software repositories with open distribution and MIT Licensing on our code\, publishing outcomes openly on UBC Wiki to promote further exploration of educational technologies\, coaching developers and principal investigators in Open Licensing we apply to the work now and for the future; EML works dynamically to create a meeting place to think ‘open’ here at UBC and beyond.  \nCan’t make it this time? Don’t worry! The Lab is open weekly for drop-ins from 11 to 1pm on Wednesdays.  Or reach out to emergingmedia.lab@ubc.ca to use for your own visiting time!
