OERs are created to be given away by means of free and legal access. OERs created and disseminated by AVU in Africa aim at providing access to quality educational resources and also the possibility of adapting those educational resources to other languages, cultures and educational settings. Education and free information are important grounds for the existence of quality of life. They are, after all, human rights.
