DESCRIPTION:Join TRU Open Press and the Open Education Working Group (OEWG) for a special Open Education Week 2026 panel and showcase celebrating the impact of open education at Thompson Rivers University. \nThis interactive hybrid event will feature: \n\nA panel discussion with faculty\, staff\, and student contributors engaged in Open Educational Resources (OER) and Open Educational Practices (OEP)\nA showcase of selected TRU Open Press projects\nAudience Q&A and live engagement opportunities\n\nPanelists will share their motivations\, challenges\, and successes in creating and adopting open resources\, with a particular focus on: \n\nStudent affordability\nAccessibility and inclusive pedagogy\nCollaboration across disciplines\nReducing barriers to learning\n\nWhether you are curious about OER\, already engaged in open education\, or interested in supporting equitable access to post-secondary learning\, this session offers an opportunity to connect\, reflect\, and explore what openness looks like in practice at TRU. \nThis event is made possible in part through support from BCcampus as part of Open Education Week 2026.
