Achieve OER

← Back to list of events

Achieve recently released a set of state policy recommendations for providing educators access to college-and career-ready Open Educational Resources (OER). These recommendations draw from key strategies in states that have begun using OER as part of their college- and career-ready implementation plans. Our objective is to provide helpful information and guidance for states that are interested in integrating OER into their college- and career-ready standards implementation. Achieve has also recently developed a set of OER communications resources, an updated set of OER Institute state profiles, and a guide for using the OER and EQuIP rubrics to evaluate curricular and instructional materials.

As part of the release of these resources, Achieve will highlight both the policy recommendations as well as efforts in states to advance OER during a webinar on Wednesday, March 11, 2015 at ¬¬3:30 p.m.¬ Eastern/12:30 p.m. Pacific.

This webinar will include:
• An overview of the state policy recommendations included in the brief, as well as other resources recently released by Achieve
• Brief updates from OER Institute states on supporting the use of OER
• A special presentation by CPALMS, a website based in Florida for sharing educator-developed, standards-aligned OER
