Principles of Universal Design for Learning in the Post-Secondary Environment

← Back to list of events

In 2013, Memorial University embarked on an initiative to introduce faculty and instructional staff across all campuses to the principles of Universal Design for Learning in a post-secondary environment. This project was a collaborative effort between Distance Education, Learning and Teaching Support (DELTS) and the Faculty of Education.
In the spirit of open, this session will give a brief introduction to the UDL initiative and will present some thoughts about next steps. Capitalizing on the current success of the initiative, the goal of this session is to inspire institutions to actively encourage UDL practices in course development and teaching practice.
