Meet the inventors of NOBA: Expert authored, free, and reproducible educational resources

← Back to list of events

The University Libraries at Virginia Tech are pleased to present Dr. Robert Biswas-Diener, NOBA’s Senior Editor. NOBA http://www.nobaproject.com is a world-class collection of peer reviewed, expert authored modules for faculty teaching and student learning. Each learning unit is accompanied by supporting educational materials such as adaptive learning technology, comprehensive test bank, power point and instructor’s manual. Contributed by some of the most respected psychologists in the world, the ninety-four NOBA modules are open education resources, reproducible and freely available to all, regardless of culture, geographic, or economic background.
Join us in hearing about this faculty-initiated project, the underlying motivations, lessons learned, considerations for adoption, and research on Noba materials. This session will be of interest to faculty, students and staff interested in innovative resources for education, those exploring alternative textbooks, and individuals interested in outreach and education for all. Additional comments will be made by distinguished and award-winning Professors Dr. Ed and Carol Diener.
