Student OER Scavenger Hunt

← Back to list of events

Mitchell Community College’s students will engage in an OER Scavenger Hunt.

The Student Government Association (SGA) will distribute the scavenger hunt to the students in the Student Union. The scavenger hunt contains OER questions such as what year was the term open educational resources created? Students must visit various campus locations to obtain the answers to the OER questions. The SGA members will be throughout campus helping students with the questions. Once the student has completed the scavenger hunt, the student will return to the Student Union to have their scavenger hunt verified to earn MCC swag.

For students who can not attend the OER Scavenger Hunt during 9:00-12:00 pm, an OER display will be created and shown in the J.P. Mildred Huskins Library. Students can come by the circulation desk to collect an OER crossword puzzle. By using the OER display, students can complete the crossword puzzle and earn MCC swag. The objective is for students to learn about the OER movement.
