Interested in getting some answers to these questions and learning a little about open educational resources (OER) and other no or low-cost alternatives to textbooks? Stop by from noon-1 on Tuesday 3/21 and get some answers. At this info session we’ll discuss OER as alternatives to traditional textbooks, consider student costs for materials, hear about the big impact UAS faculty have made already and discuss strategies for vetting existing resources and efforts to facilitate creation of OER or open-textbooks as an option for scholarly publication. No experience necessary, come and see how OER can become an additional tool in your teaching toolbox and learn how your selection of course materials can have a big impact on student success.
