Part of the 24-hour Global Web-a-thon:

Part 1 – 60 minutes:In celebration of open education week, this webinar will feature perspectives from university, college, and polytechnic institutions as well as student perspectives on the open education movement in Alberta, Canada.

Part 2 – 30 minutes: This session will provide an introduction to the intersections and applications of open culture, copyright, open licensing, and open pedagogy. Participants will be guided through activities to practice combining licenses, integrate OER in lesson planning and classroom activities, and reflect on the value of open educational practices.
