Part of the 24-hour Global Web-a-thon.
The Cape Town Open Education Declaration was published on January 22, 2008, sparking a global call to action that has grown into the vibrant open education movement that exists today. In honor of the ten year anniversary, a group of open education experts and activists took a look back at the last decade and identified ten key directions to move open education forward. During my talk, I will present the project, together with personal reflection on how open education can move forward. I will use the example of Poland, where we achieved success with open licensing of public educational content – and now need to take the next steps.
