Student Outreach Event

During Open Education Week 2018, members of our committee will set up a table outside of the student center and engage with students directly about open educational resources. We will have a large whiteboard stating, "With the ____ I spent on textbooks this semester, I could have____" which students will be encouraged to fill out. We are also handing out stickers with our "surprised cat" image (loosely based on a concept shared by the College of the Canyons) and the hashtag "OERyoukiddingme." Most importantly, we will also be using tablets to walk students through the process of refining their class searches using our district's "no-cost/low-cost" filter.
