Wikipedia in the Classroom

In celebration of Open Education Week, Kelly Doyle (Wikipedian in Residence for Gender Equity at West Virginia University Libraries) will host “Wikipedia in the Classroom” on March 7, from 1-1:45 p.m. in Evansdale Campus Library, Room 228. Come learn about how instructors at WVU have incorporated Wikipedia into their courses. Wikipedia teaches students critical thinking skills and source construction, which helps them to be more discerning consumers and creators of content. Wikipedia is a completely free resource that gives students the tools they need to succeed at the college level without the requirement of costly textbooks. Hope to see you there!
