Panel Discussion with NorQuest authors

← Back to list of events

NorQuest will be hosting the Open Education Global Conference October 16-18 at the Edmonton Convention Centre.  As a lead up to the event, we are celebrating Open Education Week (March 6-10) with a panel discussion highlighting the achievements of NorQuest textbook authors who are publishing open textbooks in fields as diverse as Settlement Studies and Medical Terminology. We'll discuss Open Education, the process for creating a book using the Open Education Alberta textbook platform and how our books are having an impact on students here and across Canada. Senior Editor and Copyright Officer Nicholle Carriere will also share valuable information on Creative Commons licencing and the use of copyrighted material. Join us -- you may be tempted to start creating your own textbook!
