Webinar: Creative Commons Licences: A Guide to Data Protection

← Back to list of events

Projects funded by the National Lottery Heritage Fund are required to provide public access to the digital resources funded by the National Lottery Heritage Fund, and, in most circumstances, to openly licence those resources: https://www.heritagefund.org.uk/funding/good-practice-guidance/digital-guidance-projects.

This webinar introduces a new, practical toolkit “Creative Commons Licences: A Guide to Data Protection & Copyright” to help projects meet their availability and licencing requirements in line with GDPR requirements.

National Lottery Heritage Fund is excited to launch this toolkit, developed by Naomi Korn Associates. The toolkit provides practical guidance and templates to help projects manage their digital resources in line with legal frameworks and our requirements.

The webinar, led by Naomi Korn, CEO, will introduce the resource in relation to the three areas that projects frequently struggle with:

  • Commissioning work from contractors, including artists
  • Projects that include the voice, image or other potentially identifiable information about members of the public
  • Projects that crowd source contributions from the public or from community groups
