COMOSA Connect Community of Practice

←Back to list of resources

The Commonwealth Open Schooling Association (COMOSA) is launching a community of practice (CoP) website for educators/professionals who are involved in Open and Distance Learning (ODL) and promoting open schooling practices.

It is free to join the website and you will become part of an innovative group of educators from around the world. Our growing collection of freely accessible research/experiences is particularly strong in Commonwealth countries where our educators have significant experience.

We believe that:
• open/innovative schooling has the capacity to expand access, to promote equality, to deliver high-quality and effective services, and to reduce the unit costs of education at all levels; and
• when those who are involved in open/innovative schooling share their experiences and knowledge, we as a community of practitioners are supported to improve our practice.

Particular areas of focus include flexible access to education, the use of OERs, policies governing OER quality, OER creation and OER repositories.
