"A-Talk" is an English Talk show created by Netease Online Open Courses, the biggest online open course platform in China. Through each episode of a "10-30 mins' "A-Talk" interview video, the program introduces new knowledge, inspiring ideas , stories including new developments of open education from overseas to millions and millions of Chinese people, meanwhile, this program functions as a bridge to let westerners from all walks of life know genuine viewpoints from Chinese people about their ideas, stories, knowledge or projects. So far, Allen Rao, the host and the producer of the program has already interviewed 36 distinguished guests from more than 16 different countries in more than 10 different walks of life( from Yale Open Course lecturer to movie director and NBA player etc, a big variety of guests) . 26 A-Talk videos have already been aired on Netease Online Open Courses, they have generated more than 34,300,000 videos views in total ( please see the excel sheet at Additional Support Materials for titles of each A-Talk, their link, and their individual video views). More A-Talk videos are underway. All the videos are free to watch, free to download and free to share elsewhere. Because of the popularities of the A-Talk videos, it has led to either a boost of some online open classes or the introduction of some open courses into China, for example, after airing "A-Talk" video shot with Mr.Ramamurti Shankar, lecturer of Fundamentals of Physics from Open Yale Courses - it gave a clear boost to his online open course (all translated into Chinese) at Netease Online Open Courses(here's a link to his course: http://open.163.com/special/fundamentalsofphysics); after airing the "A-Talk" video shot with Dr.Andreas Weigend, it led to introducing his online open course called "social data revolution" into China on Netease Online Open Courses.( Here's a link to one such class: https://open.163.com/movie/2017/5/3/C/MCJPRFO0L_MCJPSK13C.html), to name a just few. So, I sincerely hope "A-Talk" can be recognized by OEC. Thank you very much for your time and consideration.
