The Open Textbook Network is excited to release our Certificate in OER Librarianship CC By 2.0 in celebration of Open Ed. Week 2020! Now in its second iteration, the Certificate in OER Librarianship began as an IMLS-funded Bootcamp offering open educational programming for librarians desiring to be stewards and advocates for open educational resources. Thank you to the following librarians who curated the curriculum and provided the mentorship for the inaugural cohort: Cheryl Cuillier (University of Arizona), Will Cross (North Carolina State University), Mandi Goodsett (Cleveland State University), Olivia Reinauer (Virginia Campus of Tidewater Community College), and David Rose (American University). Additional thanks go to the OTN staff members who assisted in the creation of the Certificate in OER Librarianship: David Ernst, Sarah Cohen, and Karen Lauritsen. The Certificate involves five weeks of facilitated online programming, an in-person workshop, and five months of cohort-based calls. The culminating project is an Action Plan that serves as a template and renewable resource for those wishing to strategically plan and implement an open initiative on their own campus. We are grateful to IMLS and hope that this curriculum assists open education leaders in moving their initiatives forward.
