LibreTexts Remixer

←Back to list of resources

Creating OER textbooks requires resources that many do not have. LibreTexts state-of-the-art Remixer allows for easy drag and drop OER construction that allows instructors to mix and match resources from over half a million pages of content hosted across LibreTexts 14 discipline specific libraries; these remixes can then be edited and enhanced to meet their needs. The Remixer will automatically renumber content as the user goes, and save the new, remixed OER to a personal sandbox on the LibreTexts library of the user's choosing. The Remixing tool can be used for simple tasks like creating a book that consists of select chapters of an existing LibreTexts resource, or creating complex remixes consisting of multiple resources across libraries/subjects. It also allows for the creation of empty pages if instructors want to include their own original content in parts of a customized book. The technology continues to improve as users suggest improvements and extensions. The Remixer is free for educators across the globe to access and use; free account required
