Enter all details for your event. You will be able to modify it at any time in the future.

Enter a title that clearly represents the topic and draws interest to an Open Education Week event.

Enter all details of this event and make use of the rich text editing features. Most content can be copied from an existing site or formatted document.

Add an image to represent your event. This might be a screenshot for the event's web site, a photo of the location, or any other image that can represent the event on the calendar. Image should be at least 800x600px or larger.

Choose a .jpg, .png, or .gif file under 2 MB in size.

Select a category that best describe the topic of your event. See descriptions and examples in the Events Category Guide.

Location Details

Place your event on the OEWeek Map! If not currently listed in the menu below, enter the name of the event organizer, press RETURN, then click Create to add it's location. Enter the city, optionally state/province, and country of the event host. For online events originating from several places, you can use the Online from Multiple Locations.

Organizer Details

Indicate the name of organization/institution hosting this event. If is not currently listed in the menu, first enter the name of the organizer, press RETURN, then click Create to add a new entry. The website address below should reflect the organizer, not the event itself.

Event Website

Enter the web address for detailed information about this event.

Additional Fields

Watch / Join / Register link: Add web address only for any live events to view or register.
Language: Indicate primary language spoken event.
OEGlobal Member: Indicate your organization's or your individual status as a member of OEGlobal.
Event Mode: Indicates in-person or online mode of participation.
Event Format: Describe the kind of activity.
OEWeek Social Media Platform: Select the platform you or your organization use to share about this event. We use this to follow and promote your social media activity.
Social Media Name: Enter the username or "handle" without an @, e.g. "OpenEdGlobal" that can be used to mention you or your organization on the selected Social Media platform.
