In addition to sharing resources this year in OER Commons and in the OER World Map, we offer as an option for not only sharing, but also ongoing discussion, the OE Week area in the OE Global Connect Community. Everything there is public to view, though to post or reply, you should create your account there.
As an open space, in OE Global Connect, you. can participate in many areas. For Open Education Week we invite you to make use of three parts:

- Know About OE Week: We post updates and announcements here, but you are welcome to ask any questions, let people know more about what is happening in your location, or just share any relevant information that might help others understand what we are doing.
- Do OE Week Activities: OE Global will regularly offer activities, creative challenges or topic questions to gather viewpoints and perspectives from OE Week participants. But this space is open to anyone who wishes to initiate an activity.
- Share OE Week: There is so much happening during OEWeek no one can see it all! We invite you to share highlights of events you participate in, resources worth sharing, or a shout out to colleagues you meet or interact with during OE Week.
Visit OE Global Connect and look for the Sign Up or Log In buttons in the top right. If you have previously created an account, you might already be logged and you avatar will appear in the top right.
Personalize your account! If you have an OE Global Connect account, please check your preferences to update your name and avatar image and also update your profile to include a bio and other details to share. For new accounts, you can fill out your profile after it is created.
We invite you to introduce yourself in the general OEG Plaza meeting space- look for the topic It’s 2025! Hello To and From OEG Connect, reply with an introduction, or greet others who offer their hellos.
There are a lot of nooks and crannies in OE Global Connect- for assistance refer to our guide or just ask for help.
Look below for the ways you can participate in discussions and share resources in OEGlobal Connect
There is no limit to what you can share in OE Global Connect. It can be something from a project web site you have participated in, to a resource you came across in a session, to a resource from some other repository.
We ask for any shared assets to be posted in the OE Week Share area of OEWG Connect. If you are logged in, you should be able to see and click the New Topic button (if not, please contact us via connect@oeglobal.org).

Once this opens you can then write as much or little to share the resource. Use hyperlinks, images, and other media — for more help see the Connect Guide Writing Tips. Describe the resource and share why you think it is worthy to share during Open Education Week. Share where you found it.
We leave it up to you to decide what is worth sharing to this collection in 2025. It could certainly be your own work, but can also be any other that inspires you. Think about its relevancy to current interests/practices, how well it demonstrates the best of open education for the world to see as an example. Perhaps it is the kind of resource you might use as an example if you were making a case for OER to a colleague.
The best part about sharing in OE Global Connect that every topic you create becomes a place where others can ask questions, add information, and create even more value around a resource. For more ideas, browse the other topics in the OE Week Share space.
