Contribute Events and Open Assets for OE Week

Open Education Week is made of what the global community contributes. Start sharing here.

Every year since 2012 institutions, organizations, and individuals around the world spend one week in March sharing, discussing, and celebrating their contributions to the ideals of Open Education.

All open educators, students, policymakers, technologists, and enthusiasts, wherever you may be, are invited to host events and share resources for OE Week 2024.

Events

Events are activities that take place during the March 4-8 time frame of Open Education Week 2024. These can be live in-person local, online, or asynchronous events, as a series or single events.

For ideas to inspire you explore the archive of past OE Week events (2015-2023) or see the other events already on this year’s calendar.

I want to start directly adding an event.

If you have all the information for your OE Week event, start entering this into our web form. You will have to create an account and/or login first.

I want to read a detailed guide for adding events.

See the Event Contribution guide for details in creating accounts, organizing your event information, and how to use the Add Event form.

I want to see the events already added.

The full events calendar is now available.

Assets

Open Assets are resources that include OERs, textbooks, libraries of resources, or education modules – all with educational purpose and value that are openly licensed and accessible. This year we are asking the community to add to the global collection by sharing to any OER Repository.

For ideas to inspire you explore the archive of past OE Week assets shared (2015-2023).

I want to list an asset recently shared to a repository.

If you have added an open asset to a repository, help us keep track of the community progress here.

I want to know more how this works

This year we have a new approach that asks you to share your open assets to any OER repository you choose.

I want to see examples already added.

Use the Asset Explorer to view the ones already shared,.

I want to use some of the OE Week Graphics.

They are all available in our Visual Kit
