Affordable Learning KY’s Virtual Symposium – Open Education for a Sustainable Future
March 4, 2024 @ 1:00 pm - 9:30 pm GMT
We are excited to invite you to Affordable Learning KY’s free virtual seminar celebrating OE Global’s Open Education Week on March 4th, 2024 from 10:00 am – 4:15 pm (Eastern). This year’s theme is “Open Education for a Sustainable Future,” and we have a fantastic lineup of presenters and activities planned. Join us for the day or choose the sessions that interest you most.
This year’s presenters include:
- Curtis Streetman, a professor at Eastern Kentucky University who will share his experiences using Open Educational Resources (OER) to engage his students.
- Shanna Hollic of Creative Commons, who will discuss the connection between OER and social justice.
- Dominic Slauson, founder of Codaptive Labs, who will explore the intersection of Artificial Intelligence and OER.
In addition to these insightful presentations, ALKY will also facilitate an action session that will engage participants in the collaborative development of an OER while exploring essential accessibility features. This is a unique opportunity to explore the process and potential of OER creation and co-development in a supportive, low-pressure environment.
This virtual seminar is free and open to all faculty, staff, administrators, and anyone else with an interest in OER in higher education. Registration is now open. Learn more at Affordable Learning KY or click here to register now!
We hope you can join us for this exciting celebration of OE Week and the advancement of open education. Please feel free to share this invitation with your colleagues and networks.
