Faculty OER Practitioner Thank You

Scottsdale Community College’s OER Committee is sending an email to students enrolled in courses using OER and inviting them to fill out a brief form thanking their instructor for choosing to use OER in place of costly learning materials.
The students are asked to share what they do with the money they’d otherwise have spent on textbooks and also what they like most about having OER in their course. We then collect these responses and print up personalized thank-you placards that are placed on the faculty’s office door as a surprise for Open Education Week.
