Persistence & Progress: Confronting Wikipedia’s gender imbalance (Wiki Education)
Thu March 13, 2025 @ 5:00 pm - 6:00 pm GMT

As the world’s go-to encyclopedia, Wikipedia’s content should reflect the diversity of the real world, but in areas like gender representation, it can still fall short. The persisting gender gap on Wikipedia extends from its content across subjects and biographies to its content contributors themselves – a gap that individual editors, organized groups of contributors, and Wikimedia organizations like Wiki Education are tackling head on.
In celebration of Women’s History Month, join us on Thursday, March 13 on Zoom to explore the ongoing efforts to improve gender representation on Wikipedia!
