The Future of Pedagogy: Ethical and Inclusive AI in OER Development

This session explores the transformative potential of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in enhancing Open Educational Resources (OER) while ensuring ethical implementation. By proposing a framework to integrate ethical and inclusive AI practices, it emphasizes transparency, fairness, privacy, and accountability. The session demonstrates how AI can scale content creation, improve accessibility through translation and adaptive technologies, and personalize learning experiences, all while promoting equity and inclusivity in education. Drawing on Universal Design for Learning (UDL), we will discuss inclusive practices that support the future of OER, addressing ethical challenges such as algorithmic bias and offering strategies for responsible, open, and equitable AI adoption.
