Curious about Open Education Resources (OER) but not sure where to start?
We know that finding the time to source high-quality OER materials can be a hurdle. That’s why CTLI and the Library are teaming up to host the OER Discovery Lab: A Hands-on Showcase. Rather than a traditional presentation, this is a hands-on, self-paced event where you can explore resources at your own speed and get direct support from instructional design experts, collection research, and tech.
What You Will Leave With
- Resource Matches: Work one-on-one with a librarian to identify OER materials that fit your curriculum.
- ‘How To’ Tips: Learn how to embed accessible content directly into your BrightSpace shells.
- Customization Strategies: Learn how to adapt open textbooks with local case studies or Canadian examples.
- Peer Connections: Connect with colleagues, have a snack, and enter our prize draw by completing the event stations.
