OER and Open Access in Sweden – national guidelines are here

On behalf of the Swedish government, the National Library of Sweden (Kungliga biblioteket, KB) has recently developed national guidelines for open science, including a section on Open Educational Resources (OER). In conjunction with this work and guidelines, the Association of Swedish Higher Education Institutions (SUHF) has updated their roadmap for Open Science and includes now also a section on OER. The roadmap is directed towards the executive management roles at Swedish Higher Education Institutions and includes detailed guidance as well as clear goals to achieve until 2026.

In this event, we will present the recommendations and goals of both the national guidelines as well as SUHFs roadmap. It is a follow up of the presentation of SUHFs working group at OEglobal 2023 in Edmonton, Canada.
