San Mateo County Community College District’s (SMCCCD) Textbook Affordability Solutions Workgroup (TASW) invites you to participate in Open Education Resources Week. This year’s theme is Leveraging Our Capacity to Reduce Barriers for All. Our website is the central location to learn about the events that will take place across the district. You can participate in as many events as you please.
Exploring Student Voice & Impact of OER/ZTC (11am-12pm)
Join Prof. Ame Maloney (Skyline College), Dr. Sarah Harmon (Cañada College) and Dr. Jennifer Howze-Owens (College of San Mateo) as they share what SMCCCD students are saying about course material costs and ZTC/LTC courses. The data come from a student survey conducted in the 2023 Open Education Week festivities, as well as student videos collected in February 2024. Their comments will bring some valuable insights on their experiences.
