Wed March 26, 2025 @ 4:00 pm - 5:00 pm GMT
Virtual Event

The Wiki in Africa team is excited to invite you to the next episode of Wiki Africa Hour: Women’s Visibility – How the Wikimedia Movement Sheds Light on Women, on Wednesday, 26th March 2025, at 4 PM UTC.
March marks International Women’s History Month, and we’ll be bringing together inspiring women from across the Wikimedia Movement to explore how our communities support women—and where we can do more. In Episode 44, we’ll be discussing:
- How does Wikimedia’s 2030 strategy support women?
- What role do community initiatives play in empowering women?
- What would 50/50 representation in all settings look like? Are there challenges to achieving it?
- How do recent global policy shifts targeting DEI (Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion) impact the Open Movement and Wikimedia?
Join us live on youtube or register via the events tool for an engaging discussion—and bring your own questions to the table!
