Open Stories of Knowing & Belonging is a fully online, global OE Week 2026 initiative aligned with the theme Town Square. It reimagines the town square as a living commons — not a single physical space, but the many everyday places where knowledge is shared through stories, skills, memory, language, and care.

The initiative includes six asynchronous participatory activities and a series of interactive online workshops. Participants from diverse backgrounds are invited to contribute reflections, demonstrations, and community-based insights, creating a shared digital archive of everyday knowledge.

This event centres voice, belonging, and the visibility of knowledge that often remains informal, local, or undocumented.
